2026 Tata Tiago ICE & EV Facelift Officially Revealed With Bold New Look And Premium Features
Tata Motors has officially revealed the new 2026 Tata Tiago facelift before its launch on May 28. The updated hatchback comes in both petrol and electric versions, and this time the changes are much bigger than before. Tata has given the Tiago a fresh design, more premium styling and several new features to make it look more modern and attractive.
The company showed the petrol Tiago in a bright coral orange colour, while the Tiago EV was displayed in a stylish mint green shade. Both versions now look sharper and more eye-catching than the current model.
Tata Tiago EV Gets A More Futuristic Design
The electric version of the Tiago gets the biggest design changes. Tata has completely redesigned the front section to give it a cleaner EV-style appearance.
The Tiago EV now comes with a closed front grille that is painted in body colour. This gives the car a smooth and modern look. The lower bumper gets a smaller air intake with vertical slats, adding a sporty touch to the front design.
The new alloy wheels also look stylish and come with aero inserts that improve the EV styling. Tata has added black cladding around the wheel arches, making the car look slightly tougher and more premium.
At the rear, the Tiago EV gets updated LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper with cleaner styling elements. Overall, the electric hatchback now looks more futuristic and stylish than before.

Petrol Tiago Looks Sportier
The petrol version of the Tiago also gets major design upgrades. Tata has added slimmer LED headlamps and a wider glossy black grille at the front. These changes make the hatchback look sharper and more sporty.
The front bumper is also redesigned and now gets integrated fog lamps. Chrome touches on the door handles and window line give the car a more premium feel.

Like the EV version, the petrol Tiago also gets new dual-tone alloy wheels, updated rear bumpers and refreshed LED tail lamps. The overall design now feels more modern and youthful.

New Features Expected Inside The Cabin
Tata has not fully revealed the interior yet, but many new features are expected with the facelift.
The updated Tiago is likely to get a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. This will make smartphone connectivity easier and more convenient.
The hatchback is also expected to offer automatic climate control and cruise control. Tata may also add a fully digital instrument cluster and a 360-degree camera, making the Tiago feel more premium from inside.
One of the biggest expected upgrades is safety. Tata could offer six airbags as standard across all variants, which would be a huge improvement over the current model that gets only two airbags.
Higher variants may also get rear AC vents, wireless charging and even a sunroof.
Engine And Battery Details
Mechanically, the petrol Tiago is expected to continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque.
Buyers will likely get both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Tata may also introduce an AMT gearbox with the factory-fitted CNG version, making it easier to drive in city traffic.
For the Tiago EV, Tata is expected to remove the smaller 19 kWh battery pack from the lineup. The 24 kWh battery could become the new base option. A bigger 30 kWh battery pack may also be introduced in higher variants for better driving range.

Expected Price
The 2026 Tata Tiago petrol facelift is expected to start at around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Tiago EV could start from around Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Final Thoughts
The new Tata Tiago facelift looks like a big improvement over the current model. Tata has given both the petrol and electric versions a fresh identity with bold styling, modern features and better technology.
The sharper design, premium cabin upgrades and improved safety features could make the Tiago even more popular among young buyers and first-time car owners. With the official launch just around the corner, the updated Tiago is already creating strong excitement in the hatchback market.
