Tata Motors has brought back the Sierra, and this time it’s entering the popular midsize SUV segment. Prices start at Rs 11.49 lakh, and even the base model feels well-equipped. On paper, it looks ready to challenge the Hyundai Creta and other rivals.

The new Sierra comes in seven variants — Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. Bookings start on December 16, and deliveries begin mid-January 2026. You also get six colour choices, and Tata has placed the Sierra above the Curvv in its lineup.

Engines

The SUV gets three engine options:

  • 1.5L petrol (106 PS)
  • 1.5L turbo-petrol (160 PS)
  • 1.5L diesel (120 PS)

Gearbox options include manual, automatic and DCT depending on the variant.

The Sierra is built on Tata’s new ARGOS platform, which is flexible and supports different engine types. The design mixes old-school Sierra vibes with a modern look—boxy shape, tall windows, slim LEDs and connected light bars.
