November 2025 EV Sales: Tata Still Dominates as India’s EV Market Takes a Chill Pill
After an explosive October thanks to festivals, November 2025 was a bit more relaxed for EV sales in India. The festive FOMO died down, buying urgency slowed, and almost every EV brand saw a dip.
But here’s the twist: the leaderboard didn’t change at all.
Everyone kept their positions — just with smaller numbers.
Tata: Still the Boss of the EV World
Even with lower numbers, Tata stayed untouchable.
- October: 7,363
- November: 6,096
Still, the brand holds a massive 41% market share — that’s practically half the entire EV market!
And why not? Tata has something for everyone:
Tiago EV (budget-friendly)
Punch EV (city-friendly)
Nexon EV (the bestseller)
Curvv EV & Harrier EV (new & premium)
With the Sierra EV coming in 2026, Tata is literally building an EV army.

MG Motors: Strong, Steady & Second
MG also dipped but comfortably held its second spot.
- October: 4,744
- November: 3,658
Still rocking a 25% market share, MG is powered mostly by the Windsor EV, with help from the ZS EV and Comet EV.

Mahindra: The Rising Challenger
Mahindra continued to stay in the top 3.
- October: 3,989
- November: 2,920
- Market Share: 19%
Their EVs — XUV400, XEV 9e, BE 6, and the stylish new XEV 9S — are getting solid traction.
Plus, a compact EV based on the XUV300 is in the works, which could shake up the budget EV segment.
Kia, BYD & Hyundai: Holding Their Ground
These three brands sat in the mid-lower order with around 3% share each.
- Kia: 463
- BYD: 417
- Hyundai: 370
They’re not in the top league yet, but they’re definitely part of the conversation — especially BYD, which is climbing slowly.
