JSW MG Motor India has dropped the first teaser for the updated MG Hector, which is set to launch on December 15, 2025. The video reveals a brand-new front grille with multiple rows of twin vertical slats, replacing the diamond-style design from the current model.
The MG logo stays the same, but we can expect fresh changes to the bumper and the light housings too. More details should come out as we get closer to the launch. The Hector has been on sale in India since 2019 and was MG’s debut model here, quickly becoming popular.First Look! 2026 MG Hector Facelift Teased — Major Refresh Confirmed for Dec 15 Launch

The SUV already offers features like a huge 14-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, 70+ connected car features, and ADAS tech. MG also expanded the lineup over the years by adding the Hector Plus with three-row seating. This facelift will be the second major update, and we might see new colour options and upgraded interiors this time. There’s also a chance of Level 2+ ADAS, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Under the hood, the Hector continues with its 1.5L turbo-petrol engine making 143 PS and 250 Nm, and the 2.0L diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm. The petrol gets a 6-speed manual and an optional CVT, while the diesel only comes with a 6-speed manual. MG is also expected to launch the Majestor soon—a more premium version of the Gloster.
