Mahindra’s premium three-row petrol/diesel SUV is set for a big update next month. It will also get a brand-new name, in line with the company’s latest naming style.
The popular Mahindra XUV 700 is due for a mid-life refresh and will soon be known as the Mahindra XUV 7XO. The facelifted model will offer updates in design, cabin comfort, convenience features, connectivity, and safety. Mahindra has opened bookings at Rs. 21,000. Below are the five key changes expected on the upcoming SUV.
New Front
The upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO will come with a more aggressive front look. Expect new sharp headlamps, a bigger grille, a wider air intake, and a bold new bumper.

Bigger Wheels
Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV 7XO will get wheels in different sizes, with the biggest being 19 inches. The top model will come with dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels and Ceat SportDrive tyres, making the SUV look more big and bold on the road.

New Rear
The upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO will get redesigned tail lamps with a partially clear section and a honeycomb finish. The layout is expected to match the electric XEV 9S, with a simple tailgate design instead of a full-width light bar.

Two-spoke steering wheel
Mahindra may offer the XUV 7XO with a new two-spoke steering wheel that comes with an illuminated logo. This update is meant to make the SUV feel more premium and high-tech. However, some buyers who like a more traditional SUV look may not really like this new design.
Triple dashboard displays
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to get a new dashboard with three 12.3-inch HD screens, including a touchscreen for the front passenger. This screen may support apps for playing games, watching movies and web series, listening to music, and even online shopping, giving the cabin a very modern feel.

Mahindra will officially start pre-bookings on 15 December at 12:00 PM with a booking amount of Rs. 21,000, though some dealers have already begun taking unofficial bookings. The prices will be announced on 5 January 2026, and deliveries will begin in the same month.
