The new Hyundai Venue records over 80,000 bookings in just three months. Hyundai posts steady FY26 results with strong SUV sales led by Venue and Creta.
The new Hyundai Venue has made a strong impact in the Indian car market. With fresh design updates, a more modern interior, and plenty of new features, the compact SUV has received an excellent response from buyers. This strong demand has also helped Hyundai deliver a steady financial performance during FY26.
Hyundai’s steady performance in FY26
The new Hyundai Venue continues to attract buyers, crossing 80,000 bookings in just over three months. Strong SUV demand has also helped Hyundai post steady financial results in FY26.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported stable results for the third quarter and the first nine months of FY26. In the third quarter, Hyundai recorded consolidated revenue of Rs. 179,735 million, which is an increase of 8 per cent compared to the same period last year. This shows that customer demand has remained strong despite rising competition and costs.
The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs. 20,183 million for the quarter, growing by 7.6 per cent year on year. Profit after tax also improved by 6.3 per cent to Rs. 12,344 million. These numbers reflect Hyundai’s ability to grow sales while keeping expenses under control.
Wholesale volumes improved compared to the previous quarter, mainly due to festive season demand. In addition, price reductions following GST 2.0 changes helped attract more buyers to showrooms.
For the nine-month period ending December 2025, Hyundai posted EBITDA of Rs. 66,325 million, up 3.3 per cent over the same period last year. Overall, the numbers indicate consistent growth rather than a short-term jump.

Hyundai’s strong hold in the SUV segment
SUVs continue to be the most popular vehicle type in India, and Hyundai remains one of the leaders in this space. The Hyundai Creta once again became the country’s highest-selling SUV, proving its long-term popularity.
In calendar year 2025, the Creta crossed the two lakh sales mark, which is a major achievement. This success highlights how much Indian buyers trust Hyundai when it comes to design, comfort, features and reliability.
New Hyundai Venue crosses 80,000 bookings
One of the biggest highlights for Hyundai recently has been the response to the new-generation Hyundai Venue. The compact SUV has crossed 80,000 bookings in just over three months since bookings opened. This is a very strong number for this segment.
What is even more interesting is that around 48 per cent of Venue buyers are first-time car owners. This shows that the Venue is especially popular among young buyers, college graduates and small families looking to buy their first car.
The new Hyundai Venue is priced between Rs. 7.89 lakh and Rs. 15.48 lakh (ex-showroom), making it competitive while still offering premium features.

Bigger size and sharper design
Compared to the older model, the new Venue has grown slightly in size. It is now 48 mm taller and 30 mm wider. These changes give the SUV a stronger and more confident road presence.
Design updates are clearly visible. The front gets a bold dark chrome grille that adds a premium touch. Slim LED light bars, quad-beam headlamps and sharp body lines make the Venue look modern and sporty. Bridge-style roof rails further enhance its SUV appeal.
Overall, the new design feels fresh and youthful, which suits its target audience very well.
Modern and tech-filled interior
Inside the cabin, Hyundai has made big improvements. The dashboard now follows an H-themed design, giving the interior a clean and modern look. The dual-tone Dark Navy and Dove Grey colour scheme makes the cabin feel more premium.
One of the main highlights is the new floating centre console, which improves space and adds to the modern feel. The Venue also gets two large 12.3-inch curved screens – one for the infotainment system and one for the digital instrument cluster. These screens make the cabin look high-tech and are easy to use.
Overall, the interior now feels much more advanced than before and is likely to appeal strongly to younger buyers.
Focus on safety and driver assistance
Safety is another area where Hyundai has improved the new Venue. It comes equipped with Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, which offers 16 driver assistance features. These systems help make driving safer and more comfortable, especially on highways.
In addition, the Venue gets six airbags, electronic stability control, four-wheel disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and other safety features. This makes it one of the safest compact SUVs in its segment, which is an important factor for families.

Multiple engine options
Hyundai is offering the new Venue with a wide range of engine options to suit different buyers. Customers can choose a 1.2-litre petrol engine for daily city driving, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine for better performance, or a 1.5-litre diesel engine for long-distance travel and better fuel efficiency.
This wide choice ensures that there is a Venue variant for almost every type of buyer.

Exports and new business areas
Hyundai’s export business also continues to grow. In the third quarter of FY26, overseas volumes increased by 21 per cent year on year. Exports now make up around 25 per cent of Hyundai’s total sales, showing India’s importance as a manufacturing base for the company.
Hyundai has also entered the commercial mobility space with the launch of Prime HB and SD taxi models. This move allows the company to tap into fleet and taxi markets, opening up new growth opportunities.
Conclusion
The new Hyundai Venue’s strong booking numbers, combined with Hyundai’s steady financial performance, show that the brand is in a healthy position. With modern design, a feature-rich interior, strong safety equipment and multiple engine choices, the Venue has become a favourite among first-time buyers and young customers. If this momentum continues, Hyundai is well placed to maintain its leadership in India’s fast-growing SUV market.
