The Mahindra XEV 9S Pack One Above is the base model, but honestly, it doesn’t feel like one at all. It comes with premium features like triple 12.3-inch screens, which most brands only give in their top variants. Priced at ₹19.95 lakh, Mahindra has really shaken things up by offering high-end features right from the entry trim.
Even as the base model, the Mahindra XEV 9S Pack One Above stands out with high-end features such as triple 12.3-inch screens.

You get two battery options — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Both offer strong performance, and the fast-charging speeds are impressive. The bigger 79 kWh battery can go from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes with a 180 kW fast charger. Even the 59 kWh version supports up to 140 kW charging. Power is solid too: 210 kW on the big battery and 170 kW on the smaller one.
Driving feels smooth and easy thanks to features like Electric Power Steering, a tight 10m turning radius, multiple drive modes, Boost Mode, single-pedal driving and multi-step regen. The suspension setup — iLink front and 5-Link rear — helps keep the ride stable and comfortable. Plus, it gets low rolling resistance tyres for better efficiency, and cruise control comes standard.
The outside looks modern and stylish with a panoramic sunroof, Bi-LED headlights, DRLs, full LED tail lamps and an illuminated Mahindra logo. Inside, you get premium fabric seats, CapTouch switches and 18-inch wheels with aero covers. Definitely not your typical “base model” vibe.
Safety is well covered too. The car comes with 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, a strong bodyshell, brake-by-wire, an electronic brake booster, TPMS with individual tyre readings, driver drowsiness detection and a rear camera with sensors.

Tech-wise, the XEV 9S is loaded. You get three 12.3-inch screens, a Snapdragon 8155 chipset, wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, 5G support, built-in Alexa and even pre-installed OTT and social media apps. Mahindra’s Me4U connected features let you do things like remote commands, scheduled charging and cooling the cabin before you get in.
Comfort features are also solid: sliding second-row seats, 60:40 split, height-adjustable driver seat, cooled centre console, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control with rear AC vents and push-button start. For storage, there’s a 150-litre frunk and a big 527-litre boot, with lighting and even a drain hole in the frunk.
