Maruti Suzuki Steps Up Its EV Game: One App, One Network & 1 Lakh Chargers by 2030!
India’s EV scene just got a major upgrade! Maruti Suzuki has launched a new nationwide EV charging ecosystem that makes charging super simple by connecting cars, chargers, and payments on one platform.
To make this ecosystem powerful from Day 1, Maruti Suzuki has partnered with 13 major Charge Point Operators and aggregators. This means users can access a huge shared network of public chargers through one unified system—no more juggling multiple apps. Plus, 2,000+ Maruti-exclusive chargers are already live at dealerships and service centers across India.
To show how ready the network really is, four e-Vitara electric SUVs have started a symbolic cross-country drive from Gurugram. Each car is heading in a different direction—
• North to Srinagar
• South to Kanyakumari
• East to Dibrugarh
• West to Bhuj
This road trip highlights how India’s EV infrastructure can now support long highway journeys across all terrains.

The e Vitara itself has been tested like crazy—over 1 crore km in extreme heat, cold, mountains, deserts—you name it. Maruti claims the SUV delivers up to 543 km range on a single charge.
At the heart of everything is Maruti’s new app, “e for me”, which works like an all-in-one EV control center. With this app, users can:
✔ Find nearby charging stations
✔ Start/stop charging with one tap
✔ Pay easily via UPI or Maruti Suzuki Money
✔ Control home chargers remotely
✔ Mirror charging details on the car’s touchscreen
To support India’s EV future, 1,500+ Maruti service centers across 1,100+ cities are now EV-ready, with 1.5 lakh trained technicians.
Maruti’s long-term goal is massive: help set up over 1 lakh public chargers by 2030 and take the No.1 spot in India’s EV market.
Production of the e Vitara has already begun for global markets, and the India launch is set for next month with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options.
