Hyundai Motor Company Cars To Become Costlier From June 2026; Prices To Rise By Up To Rs. 12,800

Hyundai Motor Company has officially announced a price hike for its cars in India. The revised prices will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and the increase will be up to Rs. 12,800 depending on the model and variant.

The company says rising input and operational costs have forced it to revise prices. Hyundai added that it is absorbing a major part of the cost increase internally while passing only a small portion to customers.

This announcement comes shortly after Maruti Suzuki also confirmed a price hike across its lineup. Buyers planning to purchase a Hyundai vehicle may therefore prefer to complete their booking before the updated prices are implemented.

Why Hyundai Is Increasing Prices

Hyundai says the latest price hike is mainly due to:

  • Rising raw material costs
  • Higher logistics expenses
  • Increasing manufacturing costs
  • Growing operational expenses

The company has not yet revealed the exact model-wise increase. However, almost the entire Hyundai lineup is expected to be affected by the revision.

Hyundai’s Strong SUV Portfolio

SUVs continue to be Hyundai’s biggest strength in India. The Venue, Creta and Alcazar remain among the company’s most popular models. The Creta especially continues to dominate the mid-size SUV segment with strong monthly sales.

Hyundai is also expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in India. Along with the premium Ioniq 5, the company now offers the Creta EV for buyers looking for a more practical electric SUV option.

Should Buyers Purchase Before June 2026?

Customers planning to buy a Hyundai car may benefit from purchasing before 1 June 2026, as prices will increase across multiple models. Even though the hike may look small in premium segments, it can still make a noticeable difference in entry-level and budget categories.
