Meet the TVS Apache RTX 300 Adventure – A Game-Changer for Hardcore Riders

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to launch this festive season and will take on adventure tourers in the 250cc to 400cc segment

TVS Apache RTX 300 – An Exciting Adventure Bike Launching Soon!

TVS Motors is all set to enter the adventure bike segment with its brand-new offering – the TVS Apache RTX 300. This bike was first shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year and has been spotted many times during road testing across India. These test sightings are a big hint that the launch is very close, and most likely to happen during the upcoming festive season.

Just a few days ago, TVS launched the updated 2025 Apache RTR 310, and the RTX 300 seems to share similar design vibes with the RR 310 and RTR 310. However, the RTX 300 is not just a rebadged version – it comes with a completely new engine platform called RT-XD4. This means it will have a fresh mechanical setup, different from the older 312cc engine TVS developed in partnership with BMW Motorrad.

Engine Specs & Performance

At the heart of the Apache RTX 300 is a new 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It was first revealed at MotoSoul 2024 – TVS’s community ride event. Here’s what the engine offers:

  • Power: 35 PS @ 9000 rpm
  • Torque: 28.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm
  • Transmission: 6-speed gearbox
  • Technology: Ride-by-wire throttle system
  • Extra: Slipper clutch for smooth downshifts

This setup means the bike will be fun to ride, both on city roads and highways. While it’s made for touring and long-distance comfort, it may not be a hardcore off-roader like some higher-end ADV bikes.

Comfortable Yet Stylish Design

TVS seems to have focused on comfort and road performance rather than extreme off-road use. A 19-inch front alloy wheel suggests it’s more road-biased. The split seat design is stepped but lower than most adventure bikes, making it easier for shorter riders or beginners to handle the bike.

The bike’s design is aggressive and adventure-inspired. From the spy shots and brief preview, it includes:

  • LED headlamp with DRLs
  • Tall front windscreen for wind protection
  • Beak-style front fender (classic ADV styling)
  • Upswept exhaust – adds sportiness and water-wading ability
  • 43mm upside-down forks at the front
  • Rear monoshock suspension

Smart Features & Electronics

Even though TVS hasn’t fully revealed the features yet, we know from the RTR and RR 310 models that the RTX 300 will be loaded with tech:

  • Full-color TFT digital instrument cluster
  • Bluetooth connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect
  • Multiple riding modes (likely Rain, Urban, Sport)
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Possibly traction control, USB charging port, and turn-by-turn navigation

This puts the bike right up there with rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and BMW G 310 GS.

Final Thoughts – Should You Wait for the Apache RTX 300?

Yes – especially if you are looking for:

  • A feature-rich adventure tourer under 400cc
  • A bike that’s comfortable for long rides and daily usable
  • Something that blends performance, tech, and value
  • An alternative to KTM and Royal Enfield, from a trusted Indian brand

With its smart mix of power, comfort, and high-end features, the TVS Apache RTX 300 could be one of the most exciting bikes to launch in 2025 for touring enthusiasts and young riders alike.
